Husband and I are divorcing. I plan to move to Florida.
We had friends that lived in Brandon--which seemed like a nice little town. I can't afford a home at this time. I need an apartment, one bedroom is enough for me, or a studio.
I can spend as much as $1,200/month...but that is stretching it. I have a small Yorkie dog that will be coming with me.

I would like an apartment building that has washer/dryer in the unit and a pool. Bottom floor is best for me I am disabled. Are there any over 55 years of age building such as this?

My problem is when I look on a map after inputting 'apt in Tampa/Brandon area, pet friendly, washer/dryer in unit with pool,'
I get hits of apartments...but I have no idea if the area is OK.

I will not have an automobile, so no parking facility is needed, right now.
If not Tampa/Brandon...any other suggestions?

Am I asking for too much? Plan to move the end of Sept/early October.
Thank you.

Look in Brandon along the Providence Road area between Hwy 60 (Brandon Blvd.) and Bloomingdale Ave. There are a lot of apartment complexes in this area, however, many are somewhat upscale complexes that would probably be on the fringes of your budget - but not all.

Check Google Maps to get an idea of what's there and then check their web sites out.

Good luck!

Default Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Morton,
Today, you have been my angel. I have decided to fly down, rent a car, get a hotel/motel room and go look at these places myself. I figure two days tops to get this done. You have given me the best leads so far!!

I am so grateful for your advice.

After I find something, I will post back on the forum and tell you where I plan to land.
I'm in my 60's and never in a million years thought I would need to do this; I am a strong woman and this task will not break me.

Thank you so, so, much!!

Rewindmind
