It’s cheap relative to most of Florida, there’s not a lot to do in the immediate area, it’s more or less culturally southern, it’s far from a beach but there are a number of large lakes in the area. Being inland, there’s less danger of hurricanes but summers will feel hotter.

Is there anything else in particular you wanted to know?

Perfect area in my book. I would rather live in Glades county to get away from peeps and traffic.

PJs has excellent food. As does Crooked Bass right up the road. Very pretty area, but poor and isolated. It's part of the Lake Wales Ridge, so plenty of scenery and hiking and whatnot nearby.

No doubt it will become more popular with natives who might want to distance themselves from the throngs of NE transplants.

Thank you for the information. Truly appreciated. Less dangerous weather is good. We'll be at the Lake-Ridge RV park, as a base for any traveling. Everything always looks good from a satellite view, the reality may be another thing. We just want a safe, quiet, clean area. Don't expect Beverly Hills or the Bronx, just something nice. We're 66 & 70. Last couple of years the snow hasn't been too bad, under 100 inches, the crime in Rochester is vey high. Reuters described it recently as "One city 'ready to explode' as US murder rates surge in pandemic. A couple of years ago we beat NYC in violence. It's strange that you can drive through beautiful parks, beaches & neighborhoods during the day safely but when darkness falls the gangs come out and it's very bad. Up until now the gangs would usually kill each other, however, car jacking and murders are on the rise so everyone has to be careful. All things considered we just want to sunset someplace nice. How about flooding?

Thanks again,

John
