To be fair (and I don’t mean this as a knock on Tampa Bay or Florida as a whole, as there are definitely things I like about both), you have to remember that a majority of people in the US, maybe even in Florida, are in the area they are for any myriad of reasons (relationship, family, originally from there, work, etc) and it might not necessarily be their exact landing spot by choice. I do think that more people in FL on avg. than in other places do move by choice, and so for those that do, and then complain about it, yeah I wholeheartedly agree. Also, it’s important to remember people might not move just because of weather, and even if they do, they might have different reasons, like escaping cold in general. I’ve genuinely found that I enjoy FL weather from November to March (esp Dec and Jan), most, that’s all, which I guess could be kinda likened to someone up north enjoying May-September or October most. I feel like both temps are closer to human ideal (e.g. air conditioning temps), so it seems pretty reasonable.

When we moved to the west coast of Florida in 97 we were told there is more change of seasons here...but lately (5 years) I think there are less and less cool days...just my non-scientific observations...although I can tolerate the heat better I still rather it be cooler!

Since 2011 we have not had a fall or winter. Nothing like we had in the 70's and 80's.

Agreed, but the change of leaves does't typically take place until early in the year anyway.

I still don't get it - moving to the tropics and complain about it being "tropical" - I'm talking about people to obviously choose consciously to move to FL, not out of some kind of necessity, whatever that is. Lately, I've heard more damn transplants pop off at the mouth about the rain, the heat, and the humdity, and I'm thinking, well....go back to where you came from then. That's like moving to LA, Houston, Miami or Atlanta, and complain about vehicular traffic. Odd.

All I am saying is the heat seems to last longer than it did when I first moved down here...April and October felt cooler (less humid) 20 plus years ago...yes I consciously moved here and pretty much traded 5 months of cold for 5 months of heat...however lately (again not scientific) the past 5 years seem like it's humid 6/7 months each year.April and October have seemed unpleasantly more humid...not popping off just taking part in a discussion on a forum !

The planet is super heating at a faster rate and will just get faster over time. Out past 40 years it will be 90's year round in FL with little to no rain most of the year.

I don’t notice a difference except for the feel of rainy season being over and slightly and I mean slightly less humid. The sun was blazing hot today. Checked the 10 day forecast for tampa and don’t see any real dip.
