That could happen again, as evidenced by Texas last year. Brownsville has a similar climate to Tampa and it hit 23f last year.

Total diff sitch from Brownsville to the west of FL phil. You have a landmass to the west of that city kitty and that is why they get colder and hotter than Tampa. I will never see our 1980's winters again in 140 lifetimes as the planet super heats for the next 1500 years. It was year after of 20's from 1979 till 1989 in Tampa and then BOOM in 1990 it changed for good and after 2011 the ramp up in heating has been unreal neal

Look at our above normal temps vs below normal since 2011 and see what wins 9 out of 10 times. Out past 70 years the sea temps will run away and the jet stream will go away and with no fronts in the winter we will see no rain from Oct thru May. Already getting much less rain in the winters than we use to see.

Christmas eve 1989, rolling blackouts throughout the Bay area. I don't think my home got above 60 degrees that day.

That was the last super freeze. Other than the freak cold months of Jan thru March in 2010 and Dec of 2010 that was our last cold weather.

This old "global warming" is all bark and no bite. Bring me some Florida sunshine with 90+ temps and I will find my Happy Place. This month can't end fast enough for me.

Been really decent weather as of late. This is probably more what it's like typically in GA or the Carolinas this time of the year.

There is a silver lining to climate change then.

I'm with you. Finally able to open the windows without oxygen sucking humidity. I hate living hermetically sealed almost all of the year.

This weather isn't what I signed up for when I moved t FL. I thought I'd be dancing on the beach with 85 degree weather in Jan posting stories on my timeline making all the ppl up north jealous that they live in a crap place with crap weather. I wanna be tanning on the beach with a coconut drink that has a straw coming out of it as I watch the palm trees dance in the breeze.
