This thing was about 5 feet by 4 feet. It shattered into a million pieces. Took me about 5 hours to partially clean it up and I'll be spending most of today trying to finish that job. The million pieces range from grain of sand size to about 1 foot by 6 inches and everything in between in odd sharp dangerous shapes. I have filled 3 boxes with all those pieces and they are very heavy.

How / where is the best way /place to get rid of them all? I can't put them in any sort of trash bag or they'll cut right through it. From what I can tell, I cant recycle it either.

Any suggestions?

Another question. Where can I get a replacement and how much is it going to cost? I couldn't even find them online anywhere so I am starting to get worried what this little accident is going cost.

Look for a local glass and mirror shop. They can make pretty much anything you'd need. I have a 8' x 4' foot mirror wall above the dual-vanity in my master bath. It was made by a place right down the road from me.

He wants replacement, so probably 5'x4'
Guessing it's a bathroom mirror, so regular thickness. Probably want to keep on budget.
Mirror this size won't be cheap. IKEA don't have this size, Lowes and HD are pricey. The best bet is to get it from a glass shop.
Call around to check on $$

Given that the original mirror is gone, it's also an opportunity to redesign. Maybe try a different look?
