I would like to know if there is a good fish fry stand or restaurant which sells good fried shrimp and especially fried breaded crabsticks. A simple good old fashioned place is fine. I live in Spring Hill and can't find something like that here. Where are they? Doesn't have to be in Spring Hill any surrounding towns and in Tampa is fine.

I used to like the 4th St. Shrimpstore in St Pete and the Casual Clam in St Pete, don't know if those places are still there but that's a pain in the neck drive from Spring Hill. I would go up to Crystal River and ask around, there ought to be some good seafood restaruants up there.

There's a place in Lakeland called "Mister Fish" that has that stuff. It's just a little old place, you walk up and order - been there for decades.

I have yet to try it, but always hear good things about it - it is downtown Lakeland, across from the library near Lake Morton.

I'm not the resident expert, but I've heard the Crab Shack is very good --> Crab Shack Restaurant, St Petersburg, FL Print Coupon.

You could try Willie's Seafood Restaurant at 1912 Main St. in Valrico. It's in "downtown" Valrico. (Actually we don't have a downtown, but it's the closest thing we have.) The restaurant has been around for YEARS.

I don't know about Willie's. I used to go there all the time but in the last couple of years it seems to have gotten way too greasy IMO. Maybe it's just me though.

Crab Shack has a great reputation for good seafood. Not sure what you are talking about breaded crabsticks ( is that using real crab?)as I don't recall ever seeing those but Crab Shack has fried blue crab claws.. yummy.. my favorite.

Crab Shack always looks packed whenever I drive by. Trapman's on Gandy used to have some good seafood...until it burned down.
