Hi I am long time reader and first time writer! We will be moving to Clearwater/Largo within two months and Yes, will be in one of those 55+ retiree mobile home parks...My question is, how often, in maybe the last five years has an evacuation order been issued in this county? Just wanted to try and get a heads up on how often we will be making hotel arrangements....Thank you for any helpful responses from local residents...

Hurricane evacuation frquency
Well, for those who are interested, i made a few calls to Mobile home parks in the Clearwater, and St. Petersburg area to get an answer to this question from a local... One park Mgr. shared that in the last two years there have been no evacuation orders affecting mobile home residents, but about 3 yrs ago she shared that it seemed like an alert went out every weekend, just for the weekends.... The second park Manager i spoke to stated that she had been in the park for about 20yrs.. She said that she had only to evacuate twice in that entire time. She also shared that even though an evac order goes out, not everyone goes because the majority of the time it blows over...

Hi I am long time reader and first time writer! We will be moving to Clearwater/Largo within two months and Yes, will be in one of those 55+ retiree mobile home parks...My question is, how often, in maybe the last five years has an evacuation order been issued in this county?
