In my opinion, the best restaurants are in Tampa. However, spending the past 10 years in Clearwater, I recommend the following:1. 9 Bangkok Restaurant571 Central AvenueSt Petersburg, FL 33701- Best Thai food in town. Do a google search. They get top reviews. Excellent service and food. 2. Los Mayas (formerly Los Mariachis)1200 Cleveland StreetClearwater, FL 33755- Best authentic Mexican food in town. Received multiple awards. Bang for your buck and great food, you can't beat it.I'm sure there are plenty other places, but these are two of my favorites. You won't be disappointed.

You're joking, right? I think their food is only fair and the corned beef nothing like the corned beef from NY or the best deli's in Pgh.

But there are too many good restaurants in Pinellas to list.
Palm harbor has some really good restaurants like The Old School House,
Peggy O'Neill's, Mystic Fish, Amarit Thai.
Then there is Bonefish in Clearwater, Bon Appetit in Dunedin, Salt Rock Grill in Indian Rocks,
many good cafes all over the place, and we've still got a lot more to try yet.

City Fish in Tampa Road, Oldsmar is excellent. So is American Grill almost across from it in Oldsmar, too.
Like Cariad says theres tons of good restaurants in Pinellas. There's a thread here from sometime ago where everybody listed their fav's.

Really? I always received great meals there (maybe I should raise my standards). The Old School House is very good...are they still cash only? I liked the Thirsty Marlin, too. Is the Sutherland Cafe still around?

I'm pretty sure that Old School House takes credit cards-I use my amtrak rewards card for everything and would remember if they didn't take it.
The Thirsty Marlin is one we haven't made it to yet.
Peggy O'Neill's was once Sutherland Cafe. I don't really care for the transformation to an Irish Pub/Sports bar and loss of the old teller cages, but it is still owned by Chef Eric Webber and he still creates fantastic dishes in my opinion.

I enjoyed Quaker Steak & Lube when in the area. Nice atmosphere and better than decent food.

Ah yes, Chef Eric is very good at his trade!
There's also a nice barbeque place in Ozona back by Molly Goodheads

The hardest part is eating the nuclear wings before your plate dissolves!

I don't have a problem with them dissolving my plate. I get them down to quick... I have not been over on a Wednesday night in a long time but I suppose all the beautiful bikes still show up?
