Hello,

This may be a shot in the dark but worth a try. My husband and I are moving in June to Dunedin, FL. I am currently submitting resumes to places but would like to see if anyone knows any possible job openings in the near future for secretarial work, or similar positions. I have 6 years experience in the medical/clerical field.
I don't mind places around Dunedin such as Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater etc. I have been submitting resumes to Senior Living Communities since that is my interest but am ofcourse open to anything. Any tips or contacts would be great. Thank you!

there is a senior facility right on the corner of mc mullen booth as you are going into palm harbor I wish i could remember the road my sister used to work for them and they are always hiring . try there first . times are hard you might have to take a job out of your field in order to make ends meet .

I have applied at several places so far. Two of them are in Palm Harbor and McMullen sounds familiar so that may have been it. Yeah, I am fine with working outside of what I am used to but I am seeing a lot of openings in what I am looking for. Just hoping for the calls. Thank you for the help.

Look online at www.tbo.com, I think it directs you to Yahoo Jobs. I have seen (in the past) medical clerical positions in the surrounding Bay Area. Maybe you will find something more promising.

The problem you are going to have is there are ppl who live in Tampa Bay applying for the same job. Most employers are not going to wait for someone to move down when they have tons of ppl who are ready to work now.

It will be a lot easier once you get down here to find something

Thanks everyone.

I understand that the chances may be slim since I am applying before I have made the move, but I figure it is worth a shot. I am confident that once I do get down there, I definietly will get something but I still like to try beforehand also.

I know on other threads people have mentioned getting a PO Box and changing your phone number but I am uncomfortable doing that because ultimately it is lying and I would rather be straight forward about the situation. So I'm going to take my chances and hope that employers maybe ahead of the game too.

Thanks for the tip about the job in St. Pete. I would like to try to stay a little closer to Dunedin and am not quite looking into St. Pete at this time. I'd like to keep the drive relatively shorter due to getting a kid to and from school.
