I'm not prejudice my husband is black Puerto Rican, and my kids are mixed, i am just sick and tired of being in a place where all the cubans think this is little havana, and think that they don't need to learn to speak english, they look at you crazy if you don't speak spanish, and i have been denied jobs because i am not fluent in spanish, but for the same job someone could get it if they are not fluent in english. now mind you i know spanish and am white american, my stepmom is black dominican, so i know the language, they don't take any interest in learning our language, I am just sick of them, and i realize in order to get away from this i just need to move

The largest spanish area is around the stadium here in tampa. Mostly Cuban and Puerto Ricans but of course there are others thrown in there. Id say this area is probably 90% spanish from my experience.

No. There are rich Cubans and poor Cubans and they are prevalent throughout Tampa society.

South Tampa, carrollwood, downtown, temple terrace, west chase are a few areas where Hispanics are a small minority.
My wife is Spanish, straight off the boat, from Ecuador. when we got married, I asked her if she would like to live in a Spanish neighborhood.
Her exact words were " Hell No!".

Are there hispanics in those areas? I am planning on moving to New Tampa and would like to know what is the racial make up of the suburb?

Thanks

New Tampa
New Tampa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carrollwood

You can find most of the places you are looking for here. Just type in the name
//www.city-data.com/city/Florida2.html

If you are looking for a walkable area that is going to be the hardest thing to find as most of Tampa is not that walkable. There are hispanics all around Tampa just more concentrated in a few areas.

What is your price range?

The truth is the hispanic populaton here is very withdrawn or hidden and runs in small circles. Hardly anyone talks Spanish openly and they are not as open and friendly as in other cities. It's a very quiet boring place, no real social life and churches too are clicki. I did not expect Miami, but the Latino culture is def NOT here. There are some small parts of the city, where latinos may hang out- but not the friendly atmosphere like Miami where you make a friend over a cortadito--- AND the CUBAN sandwich is not the best compared to Miami's- for sure.

You must not visit the Wal-Mart at Waters and Hanley very often. Or any of the hispanic stores in that part of the world.
