So that is here you settled on. I think it might work for you. It is definitely safe, since you have to go through two gates to get to it. Although last time I was there the Hatteras gate was always open. There is not much really close to the development, but is not at all far from South Tampa. At peak hours the traffic is very bad where the vet connects to Kennedy, but I don't know how long the traffic lasts. You should try to look into it while you are in Tampa. The only other issue is schools. I know I almost sold a home to someone moving from Westchase (where the schools are considered very good), but they were unhappy with the Schools in this area. Private schools maybe an option if you are not happy with what is there.
It is a very nice area aesthetically. We have had some increadible listings on the Mangrove flats in Bayside, just next door. I hope you find something nice, I know many of those listings have been on the mkt for awhile so you can probably get a good price!

Thanks Scott. That's funny thought about the schools, when I looked up Westchase schools compared to this area, they share many of the same ones and they're rated very closely!
But, she's in private now, and if she doesn't like the schools, then we'd be happy to send her to private there as well.
Thanks

I think they share the high school, but their children where still in Elementary, if I remember correctly!

Great community. Many kids in the neighborhood. Families get together quite often to celebrate Holidays. Boat slips available to lease or purchase. Easy commute to Pinellas County or back to South Tampa from the Palm Bay area.

Lol that's an old post. Since that post, we bought a house there, decided the area was highly inconvenient, sold the house and bought another one Buying from out of state is not easy, I would recommend to anyone moving and renting first, but my dh does not like to rent and move twice, though we ended up doing that!
