Gas in Tampa is cheap because of the port. It's higher (sometimes dramatically) in more isolated cities like Tallahassee.

Having lived in many places all over the US in my 45 years of life (Seattle, Portland, Minneappolis, South Padre Island in deep south Texas, small towns in Arkansas & Alabama, Virginia Beach, etc), I can say that of all the places I've lived or visited, I am beyond excited to be moving to the Tampa Bay area! We've vacationed there and love so much about the area that we decided we had to live out the dream of living there.

Kayaking Almost Year-Round!
I love that the weather makes it possible to go kayaking year round, or almost year round! Lots of beautiful places to paddle or drift around and see wildlife you probably wouldn't see any other way.
