I appreciate everyone's advice. When I meet with them at school, they make it sound very routine and normal. Whereas most people on here take it as something negative. I'm split 50/50 on it in my mind.

I agreed to do the internship with the uniform because of the experience I will gain. My husband and my college adviser urged me to do it.

The assistant principal did compromise somewhat in giving me the option of wearing a scooter/skort which looks like a uniform skirt, but it has polyester shorts sewn in underneath for modesty. The good news is it has the shorts underneath, the only thing is that comparatively, it is shorter than their jumper/dress above the knees because of the shorts underneath.

I'll deal with it. I need the internship commitment.

Well, best of luck and kudos to you. I know I wouldn't be comfortable doing that, so I give you credit.

Thanks HighlandsGal. My husband tells me to give it time, and that it will not be an issue after a while into the program. I hope he's right...
