Anyone here familiar with the Hidden Lakes neighborhood in Ooltewah? We are building a house there, and I thought there would be a lot of young families with kids. I have boys that are 10 and 7, and the neighborhood we moved from was full of playmates for them. I never see any children playing outside when we go check on the house.

Is this a fluke, or are there just not many kids in the area?

This sounds like it could be a Stephen King novel! Hidden Lakes. In the peaceful and very quiet village of Hidden Lakes people live forever because they a steady supply of new bodies . . . those of noisy children. When Robert Burns and his wife Diane move to Hidden Lakes they don't know what dangers are in store for little Billy and Laura.

Sorry, I have an overactive imagation. ;-)

Default lol!!!

Nice imagination!

I actually had a similar reaction to my neighborhood in NE TN. I'm used to seeing kids playing outside all the time, having done that as a child myself in FL. I think that here kids don't play "in the street" - yards are big enough to play out back I guess - or maybe it's all those video/computer things we didn't have growing up...
