Meadows Homes - Mobile and Modular Homes
I don't remember much about this place, but we did go look at their homes in Cookeville several years ago when I considered buying a modular home.

Clayton Homes and Clayton Bank one of the same.. Clayton owns about 80% of all the brands. The name stays the same but owned by Clayton.. Warren Buffet
You all so have Palm Harbour.. last I knew was not part of Clayton. Most of the major brands still retain the name but if you dig deep enough you will find Clayton.
Financing is the problem... many rules too follow and they change by county.

Do yourself a favor and get a true modular, not one of the things on frames that are little better than a trailer.

True modulars have a foundation, are better well-built and can get financing easier than those on frames like Clayton makes.

One of my favorite modular companies makes log home modulars and they are beautiful. They are located just south of Asheville, NC. Here is their website in case log home style home interest you:

Log Cabins, Log Homes, Modular Log Cabins

Other good national true modular companies would be:

Simplex Homes - Modular Homes PA,NY,CT,MD,MA,VT,RI,NJ,WV,NC,VA,SC,GA,DC

R-Anell Modular Home Builder & Custom Manufactured Homes

Mod U Kraf - Modular Homes Builders | Home Page | Pre Manufactured Homes | Dorm Construction | Mod-U-Kraf

Best of luck finding your new home

No problem - glad I could help

This information was all real important to me too at one point.

Even though I didn't end up with a true (or "systems built") modular due to restrictions on my lot, I do have a high degree of respect for them
