I'm in the process of possibly getting a job in Cookeville or Morristown. Slightly different job positions, the one is Morristown is my perfect job, but from what I understand of the area, not very desirable? I've only heard good things about Cookeville, so wondering if I take the other job to live there instead?

I am in my mid thirties and single, but would love to meet a man, get married, have babies and all of that. I know this sounds like a silly reason, but I LOVE country music and the whole culture of country music, so I like the idea of being closer to Nashville.

Having never been to either location before, and really not having the finances to do so until my face to face interview, I need to choose which location I want to go to.

Any input would be appreciated!

I suggest you browse the Cookeville forum to see what posters have said about it, and also do a search in the Knoxville forum to see what posters have said about Morristown. Once you do that, you should have answers to some of your questions.

You can also check out the information at city-data about Cookeville and Morristown (crime stats, home prices, school info, etc.):

It seems like we've seen an awful lot of people on here saying they have a job in Morristown, lately. I find that odd. I mean, I believe what people are saying but it seems a bit strange. Morristown has an unemployment rate of 9.2, in contrast Cookeville's rate is 7.4 and Knox County's is 5.8. I wonder if there is some sort of a situation where people think they have a job in Morristown but they may not?
