Easy Drive. No mountains close to the interstate. Only thing to watch out for is dense fog in the right kind of weather...

Easy drive, the only mountains on 75 in Tennessee are north of Knoxville, but they are not bad either. Interstates dont allow the road to be as close to the edge of the mountain as do state highways and smaller roads. Fog conditions can be a problem on that stretch though so be on the watch for it.

Like everybody else said, interstate standards are good. If you get a chance, check out the Lost Sea. Fun, family friendly attraction.

As everyone else is saying...the terrain is pretty easy. No more than a few rolling hills. You are essentially travelling alongside the Tennessee River and lakes (though much of the time, you can't even see them). You're in the Tennessee Valley (or just The Valley).

It's not really *bad,* but one issue I have with it that doesn't make it as pleasant of a trip is that it's a bit more crowded than a lot of the other stretches of interstate between the cities. It can be hard to set the cruise control or pass people at times (if that even applies to you). Other than that minor thing, you really shouldn't have much of a problem.

Are you wanting to be close to the mountains for a scenic drive? If so i recommend 411. A lot of it is 4 lanes and passes by some beautiful scenery.
