Hi!
I live in Clarksville and I have been searching online for information about used car taxes. I will be purchasing a used minivan within the next 4 to 5 months and want to know just how much I need to have saved up for registration, tag, title, taxes...etc.

I can't find a thing....I might be overlooking it though because I have been at it for about 2 hours now.

The van we are going to be purchasing will be between 5,000 and 6,000 dollars. It will more than likely be a out of state purchase. I am trying hard to make it an in state purchase but do not know if I will be able too.

How much will taxes, title, registration.....etc be....

You will need to pay sales tax on the vehicle, either to the dealer you buy it from or to the state when you register the title.
If you buy out of state and pay a lower sales tax, you will have to make up the difference when you register. Been there, done that.
There's a calculator on the Montgomery County website that will help you get the actual cost:
