I'm a recent college grad who lives in a rural town of a neighboring state of Tennessee. Having spent a lot of time traveling through the state, I'd really love to find a job in Middle or East Tennessee. My degree is in Business/Econ. Does anyone know any businesses or companies that hire out of state residents/recent college grads? Thank you!

Stick to the major markets and you may possibly find something, but I graduated three years ago in economics and was never able to get anything even slightly related. I'd also have a backup area in mind.

If you don't mind me asking, what area or type of work do you do now? And did you already live in Tennessee?

In IT. Yes, I graduated from ETSU. It is unlikely that you will receive an offer above $30k as a new grad

That's fine by me, hell, at this point, I'd be fine as long as I'm making at least $19k after taxes. I was thinking about looking into ETSU (or MTSU) for a grad program if I can't find a job by the time next fall rolls around, any thoughts on it?

How would you pay for it?

I would look into a state with a better job market before committing yourself even further to Tennessee.

I think TN has a good job market in certain areas, as do others on this forum.

To the OP, stick to the largest 4 metros for more job opportunities. Search Indeed.com for openings that you're interested in and apply! You just may get an interview! Good luck!
