No problems, I have no intent to debate the details of the ACA here where it against the forum guidelines. That debate belongs in the
Politics and Other Controversies (for ripping Obama in general... lots of conservaties hang out there) or
Health Insurance (for debating actual merits and numbers) sub-forums. I do know a few people with "pre-existing conditions" who, starting last year, were suddenly able to find health care. But I don't know specific numbers.
For the record I'm a fiscal conservative who believes in personal responsibility and reward for work. But I'm also a Christian who does NOT follow the strictly capitalistic ideal where if you can't afford a doctor you should go hide in a corner and die quietly. I celebrated nationwide health-insurance as a
necessary social program. Yes, some details still need to get worked out (just like the roll-out of the now-hugely-popular
Medicare Part D under Bush ), but within a few years I figure that "Obamacare" should be running smoothly and universally liked.
