Can someone tell me how busy the trails around Tellico Plains are? Is there a lot of spillover visitation from Smoky Mtn Natl Park? Is Tellico Plains a popular tourist destination? Lost of people in the woods year round?

Thanks!

It is not as crowded as Smoky mountain NP. I just did a hike to a waterfall near Tellico and saw just a few people there. This is winter however, and you will see more when its warmer. Tellico is a tourist area, but it is much quieter than the Smoky Mountains. There are lots of trails in that area, so no doubt you can find some peace and quiet.
