I have a legal secretarial background (but can work as a secretary in ANY kind of company) and would like to find employment and housing info on the following cities:

1) Chattanooga

2) Cookeville

3) Nashville

I've been living in Los Angeles for 3 years (relocated from NYC) and I can honestly say it was one of the worst decisions of my life. I've been unable to find permanent work and rents are very high (among other things).

I would prefer to live in a place where I can at least TEMP until I get something permanent and can live by myself (no roommates).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-D

TIA!

You will have no problem at all finding a job in Nashville. I bet you find one in under a week. Try the Tennesseean (I think they use career builder) and Hendersonville Star News. There are some other local papers in surrounding areas as well, but I don't know their names. Just google it!

For temps in Chattanooga look in the yellow pages under employment agencies. Olsten Staffing is a temp-to-perm hire for Cigna or Blue Cross which is one of the largest employers in Chattanooga. Also timesfreepress.com which is our local paper. And check hotjobs.yahoo.com I saw 398 jobs for Chattanooga alone. Good luck!
