Well I moved here from FL Nov 27 2006. I love the area we live in. We rented a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage house ontop of a hill in Red Bank. From out house you can see Signal Mountain clear as day.
We use to live in West Palm Beach FL. It was nice there, I do miss the beach and thats pretty much it.
The mountain views here are beautiful. Traffic is not bad at all. I drive through the city everyday to get to work. I drive 20 miles takes me 25 minutes.
In FL we paid $1200 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment, $175 for electricity, $50 for water.
Here last months bills The house as mentioned above $900, water $19 electricty $48.
Food prices are the same except here they tax you 9.25% on groceries.
Driving around here is a lot nicer and seeing the mountains is beautiful.
The pay here is a lot cheaper then FL. Ummm lil less then I was hoping for. Im still young I may look into a career change. Always wanted to get into real estate.

Little bit cool this weekend, but maybe a picnic in SAL's backYard come springtime. Large TARZEN rope on the right side of pic, guys climb up the cliff, this was even LOW water last summer with the Drought. New Tenn Cumberland Trail or CT going 305 linear miles up Walden ridge. Many web sites for the hiking trailheads. Anothe pic slightly lower on the creek as it flows towards river. Pvt msg if you need full screen ID.[IMG][/IMG]

I have a job, I have been working BMW parts for 6 years now. 3 years in NJ, 3 years in FL and now 2 months here in Chattanooga. I took a pretty big pay cut but I love it here.

I'm so glad to see your post. I live in Lantana, FL (just south of WPB) and it's good to hear positive comments from someone who relocated from my area. I haven't quite settled on a location in TN yet. Plan to visit several across east and middle tennessee. I'll keep Chattanooga in mind.

Bike chick, I was right around the corner from you. I lived in Boynton Beach, then Greenacres, then back to Boynton. Chattanooga is very nice. When do you plan on visiting? I love the fact that I drive 25 miles to work and in traffic takes me 30 minutes. In FL my drive from Boynton to BMW in West Palm was 16 miles and took 30 minutes in am and 1 hour in evening. My 8 mile drive from Greenacres took 40-45 minutes in the evening.
