I absolutely love the state in general. Everywhere that I have been, the people have been wonderful, polite and don't hesitate to speak with me. I have fallen in love with how friendly and outspoken everyone has been.

The way I see things, is that there are problems of all kinds, no matter where we are from or where we live. How we choose to react to them is what defines us. After my recent trip, I came home and noticed a lot of things that are so different here compared to the south. As posters have mentioned, northerners are less friendly. I really didn't realize how much so, until now. No area, is a "perfect" place to live, however, we are able to choose what issues we are willing to accept.

I intend to move to the southeastern area, and hopefully I can find work. I really loved the whole region. The land is gorgeous, the weather is much more to my liking, the people are friendlier, those are the things important to me. I am not looking for a job to make lots of money, I just want to support myself. I am not looking for a large house or lots of land. I really want to enjoy the rest of my life. That is my goal. This area seems to fit my needs to do that.
You have my sympathies on the death of your wife. You sound like a wonderful person, you'll fit right in here. Welcome Home to TN!
