The Tennessean newspaper gave its suggestions of 40 things every Tennessean should do. Being the Nashville paper, the list is pretty Nashville-centric. But it's still pretty fun to see. Which ones have you done?

Nashville-centric is an understatement. Almost half the list seems to be stuff in the Nashville vicinity --- as if the rest of the state doesn't exist. Still interesting, though; I just wished they would've renamed it and cut out the non-Nashville items because it's a stretch to call this a "Tennessee list".

A couple of East Tennessee attractions that could be on the list; ride the glass bottom boats of Lost Sea, climb Clingmans' Dome and Cades Cove. Ok, maybe 3 things.

I don't see why Bristol's NASCAR isn't on this list. I'd much rather do that than go to a bathroom in Nashville. And to me, if you live in TN you *HAVE* to go to a Vols game, just to experience it, nevermind if you're a fan or not. That and/or see some of the historic country music sites in Bristol, like where the Carter Family recorded. (Or is that on the VA side? Hm.)
Oh, OOPS! NVM! It's irrelevant! I totally forgot that Nashville is the only country music city in TN. Sorry guys. Carry on.

There's a great aquarium restaurant , in the grand ol opry mall .. Definitely worth a look .. And they dont mind if you just come in to stroll around . . .
Also yu didnt' mention the general jackson riverboat ride on the cumberland river in nashville .. A great time . .
Oh . .and the nashville zoo wasn't bad either . .

What about Dollywood? You know I just had to throw that in!
And go to the top of The Sunsphere. I did that, then realized I was afraid of heights and had an anxiety attack!
How about visit the Mayfield farm? I haven't done that one yet.

Never been up in the Sunsphere. Always thought it'd be fun, then when I lived there seems like I never had the time.
I just spent a great night in Knoxie. My heart will always be in NETN but Knoxville is a good second home. I think Dancing the Night Away at the World Grotto should be on this list.
But I'm probably very partial.
