One of the small things that I have been missing from Tennessee.
Small but brought great joy in watching them.

Looking forward to seeing them again soon.... counting down to August 1st, and I'm back home.... WOO HOO!!!

I'm currently living in FL for the summer but came home last week to visit & was awed by the lighting bugs. I felt like a little girl again. It brought up so many memories from my childhood.

A few years ago a colony of synchronized fireflys was discovered in the Smokies. At that time the only other known colony was somewhere in southern Asia.

Are the synchronized fireflies still doing their thing?? Seems they are thinning out so much, just wondered if they are.
