Every year at this time, Business Tennessee magazine names the best employers in the state. There is a list for Large Employers (250 employees plus) and one for Small Employers. I'm guessing the list for 2010 Best Small Employers will appear in next month's issue. Here's the Best of the Large Employers. Click on the link below to see why. (Good to know when you are looking for employment.)

1. Pinnacle Financial Partners (Nashville)
2. Edward Jones (Tullahoma)
3. First Citizens National Bank (Dyersburg)
4. Mars Petcare US (Franklin)
5. LifeWay Christian Resources (Nashville)
6. Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC (Memphis)
7. Oak Ridge Associated Universities (Oak Ridge)
8. Unum (Chattanooga)
9. Edfinacial Services (Knoxville)
10. First Tennessee, a subsidiary of First Horizon National Corporation (Memphis)
11. Mid-America Apartment Communities (Memphis)

Great list, Laura. I read every word. Some of the companies really think out of the box. Great stuff.

My mother-in-law is thinking about moving out with us to TN and LifeWay is hiring for a corporate position she's interested in. She said she thinks she would be a great fit for the job. That's great to know it's on the list! Thanks for posting!
