Default Import nuclear waste to Texas for $$$

December 26th is the last day public comments will be received on a proposed rule to import waste from nuclear generators to bury in West Texas. The site will be operated by a private company, Waste Control Specialists, owned by Dallas billionaire Harold Simmons. Texas will receive 5% on the landfill's annual income. The state will also own the facility & holds liability for the site. A vote on the proposal will take place January 4th. Email your comments to rule.comments@tllrwdcc.org
