Wow! I got that in just a nick of time. I was going by memory of all the pictures of that bridge that I have seen. BTW, I have been on it twice. I was so shocked to get the question right that I wasn't exactly prepared to get yo ask one. so here we go.............................

In what year did Houston become Texas' most populous city? You can use the decennial census for help. And for extra credit, name the city that it eclipsed to become number 1.

1930 or 30's because Dallas was the most populous in 1929.

Sam Houston was married three times. His second wife was Tiana Rodgers, an Indian gal. What tribe did she belong to?

Tiana was Cherokee! Got my info from ancestry.com

Speaking of ancestry, I have a question related to my ancestry.

My greatx7-grandmother was born in Tennessee. She had a little brother. This brother worked as US Senator for a while. Then, he came to Texas, where his legendary status as a "Texan" was sealed forever. Name my famous relative and his place of death.

Sam Houston, and Huntsville, Texas?
He was a Senator and Governor for Tennessee.
I also thought of Davy Crockett and The Alamo but he was only a U.S. Congressman for Tennesssee.
Please verify if I am Elan.
BTW Elan, you are correct about Houston passing Dallas as the largest city in population around 1930.

Your answer looks correct to me. Since DerekTant seems to be absent, go ahead and ask the next question AmberAzeneth.

Looks like AmberAzeneth is missing also. So I will toss one out.

Fill in the blank: The ____ _____ in Texas is bigger than the state of Rhode Island.
