It is West Texas as someone noted; halfway between Lubbock (north) or Midland (south) and having lived in Midland for over 10 years and considered a West Texan I can tell you this people are kind, smile, and care. Race should never be an issue; consider that you might not fit in if you aren't a West Texan not to say you could not be.

Well i know its been quite a long time but lamesa is a good place There is some stuff you cant do like go to a arcade or somthing but were are still a good place and lamesa Texas is also know as dawson county and We have great schools and i Mean Its a small town And we are nice and there is a speed limit over 35
