The Texas House passed a bill that would make it a criminal offense for public servants to inappropriately touch travelers during airport security pat-downs. Approved late Thursday night, the measure makes it illegal for anyone conducting searches to touch “the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person” including through clothing.

Texas House Bans Offensive Security Pat-Downs « CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

WTG Texas. Not only is feeling people up wrong, its completely unnecessary. And I don't doubt some TSA workers enjoy it.

If these people have such an urge to touch people's privates, then they can do it to each other on their breaks.

not if they don't conflict. don't know how specific the pat down must be in federal law, but if it does not specify where the agents can touch the state can specify where the agents cannot touch. Besides there are some areas that federal law cannot regulate. The feds can regulate things that the law specifically says they can regulate. everything else is up to the state

I too question how relevant a Tx law is, when a Federal law requires it. I suspect that the Tx airport could be barred from receiving interstate flights if it does not comply with the Nations regulations.

Taking back our dignity..one stolen liberty at a time.
People should feel good about this. They can leave an airport not feeling like they are a rape victim.

Details of the bill:

"The proposal would classify any airport inspection that "touches the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person including through the clothing, or touches the other person in a manner that would be offensive to a reasonable person" as an offense of sexual harassment under official oppression."

I don't live in TX, so I'm still subjected to getting rubbed all over. What I think I'll do, is get myself a prescription for Viagra and take a few just before going to the airport.

I'll be standing there with a hard on a bear couldn't bite waiting for my turn to get groped. See if that works as a deterrent.
