American Airlines' Parent Company Planning To Split From American Eagle

Staff Writer

American Airlines parent company, AMR Corp., plans to split from subsidiary American Eagle Airlines, officials announced Wednesday.

Of course you will. They are splitting off, but they are the last to do it.

Continental Express (Express Jet) split off years ago, but still operate for Continental.

Delta Express (Commair and Pinnacle) split off from Delta years ago, but still operate for Delta.

UA and US also have similar situations.

Eagle will still operate for American and you will still get your miles.
