Can anyone offer advice on the best neighborhood/town around Longview? I am interested in a desirable community, perhaps the best school district or highest property values.... If I move I would like to live in a place where my home would retain its value. I don't anticipate that I will live there for too long.

Thank you!

I have lived in Longview all my life, as far as school systems you will need to look outside of Longview. I would recommend either Hallsville, White Oak, Sabine or Diana. All of those areas offer great schools with a short distance to Longview. Stay away from lisd...it's a joke, I went to school there and would NEVER send my kids there. We live in Diana and love it! I highly recommend Hallsville too...rated one of the best 4a school districts in the state. As far as subdivisions/area ...price range?

I don't know anything about the schools there, but if Hallsville is really a good school (I've heard it's not), you could live in Longview Heights which is in Longview but Hallsville ISD.
