Besides that....isn't Richardson considered a suburb of Dallas? I have a hard time thinking of any town inside that loop as being small!

I've traveled through and stayed in many towns for my job. There are tons of great towns in Texas, and here are a few of my choices...

South Texas: Port Aransas/Goliad
East Texas: Jacksonville/Athens
North Texas: Granbury/Graham
Panhandle: Canyon
West Texas: Terlingua
Central Texas: Fredericksburg (I've got to be a little biased)
