It came down to Dallas and Lubbock, with Lubbock getting it.
Will one of the cold weather region cities win "worst" in the end? I'd guess so, but we'll see...

Would have thought that one of the heaviest-hitting-humidy cities like Houston or NOLA would have made the finals ? Guess you gotta have some fozen precip along with everything else to make the finals ?

Houston is relatively mild throughout the year. Sure, hot and muggy summers but nice otherwise. In other places you get torturous summers and pretty miserable winters too.

I was thinking Oklahoma City would be included because they have a COLD winter along with HOT summers. Their winter is pretty different compare to Dallas which is only 200 miles away.

Also, Kansas City comes to mind.

Houston's weather isn't bad. They just have a humid summers, that's it. Their winters are very mild.

Houston and New Orleans have sauna-like summers, flooding, and the occasional tropical storm threat, but that's pretty much it. With cities like Lubbock and Dallas you have extreme heat, dust storms, tornadoes, hail, ice, etc.

Indeed! Especially in the Southern Midwest such as Kansas and Oklahoma.

Ha! Lubbock does have some bad weather, no doubt. When I was a student to Texas Tech I saw it all, everything they mentioned in that article and then some. One Fall afternoon while I lived there it was sunny and about 70 degrees to begin with. Without any warning a dust storm then blew through town, followed by a thunderstorm with some hail and rain, including rain with mud because of the dust in the air. Right after that, the temp dropped down to about 35 degrees and it snowed...all within about 5 hours time....lol.

Man.... I'm glad I don't live in West Texas. Of course, that's my opinion.

HOU, NOLA, MIA... all have sub-tropical weather that a lot of people actually enjoy. It's the horrible icy winters, droughts, dust storms, tornadoes, etc. that are more of a problem for many.
