No idea. Hoping for a little snow, just to switch things up a bit. Thinking back to that winter when we had more than a foot of snow on the ground in Dallas, that was kinda fun. The power lines coming down, not so much.

I'm going to say it will be colder and wetter than the past several years here on the High Plains but for the rest of Texas, I don't think I'll commit. Although everything here is finally starting to dry out again, we've had a significant amount of rain this spring and summer. Insect populations here have been really bad for the past few weeks and we need some seriously cold nights and days to knock them back.

One can never know about the weather in Texas and especially the High Plains. I do notice that there are still many burn bans in eastern Texas counties yet most of our counties have released theirs. I'm not sure what that means for the future months though. I had read somewhere that the new Farmer's Almanac has predicted more than average moisture for the US South Plains but as to temperatures, about normal. But then even Punxsutawney Phil got sued this year over his prediction.

It's always summer in Texas I'm hoping for freezing cold weather, I know won't get it, but I'm still hoping.
