On the flip side? Why do you ignore your own suggestion that we both ignore each other? Just asking! and double

when mom made chile con carne, there was usually a pot of pinto beans and a pan of Spanish rice to go along.

It kinda all got mushed together on the plate/bowl anyway.

I do love making chilibeans. That I do eat that in a bowl with crackers.

Wow, I've lived in texas all my life and that's all I have ever had is chili with beans. Ran this question by my buddy and he has had both. I don't see how having chili without beans is "texas chili" or more texan without beans than with or anything of the sort.

I am giving my own opinion on Texas chili and how the real Texas McCoy does not contain beans. Just as you are giving yours and the accompanying self-important lecture...LOL

Personally? Hell, I don't give a fiddler's damn if you eat your chili with beans. Or with dog turds for that matter!
If you look up at the poll, it looks like the "beans" have it

He once argued with me for what seemed like days, over whether Sam Houston was removed as Governor, or did he "vacate" the office, as TexasReb insisted It was real

Reb you have it all wrong. This thread is serious business and a legitimate attempt to categorize the quality and value of people based on how they like their chili.

I agree.

I broke up with my fiance because she put beans in my chili. Being captain of the Swedish Bikini Team did not help her one bit.

& had to cut two kids out of the family inheritence.

I'm probably an odd Native Texan because I like Chili either way. I'll pass on the chili and noodles though, that ain't right.
