I've said more than once, 'If I couldn't be from Texas then I'd want to be from Australia'

Nevada, in fact I've been living there part time for over 10 years. Why? Because its not crammed full of people, its more like the Texas I remember from the 60's, and it has mountains

Move back to California! Where surfing is alive! Hawaii the feel of that place is like paradise! I would live in New England (Maine, Vermont, Boston & Martha's Vineyards) . Yeah!

They better watch out for a wave of Texans
Which I find to be odd since so many Texans claim to detest the flatness and humidity of Southeast Texas. Florida is one big giant Houston.

I don't detest Houston at all. I actually like it second best out of all the cities in Texas. I just don't want to live there. The weather in South Florida feels different to me than how it feels in Houston. Plus, the beautiful white sand beaches and clear blue water make up for a lot, including the rain and humidity. The architecture, the landscape, the city layout, and the overall vibe in South Florida is also way different than Houston too.

Yes, but South Florida is only part of the state. But Pensacola and Panama Beach have pretty much the same landscape as Houston. Climate wise, Galveston is a better comparison with its high humidity, moderated summer temps and sea breezes. The main difference would be the cooler winters.

So, yeah, if you took Southeast Texas along with the Coastal Bend and expanded them out to 65,000 sqmi, you would damn near have Florida, from a geographical standpoint.

It's hard for me to decide, considering I love Texas and want to build my family and career here. However, I'd consider New Mexico, Washington, Oregon, Maine, New Hampshire... Maybe, I'm just listing off places I'd love to vacation to, but oh well.
