When someone bids on a Tax Lien or Deed do they make less money or how do you calculate your return or do you simply get a percentage back on the interest you bid?

After I buy a Tax sale Lien purchase how much money will I make from that? Auction bid on Tax sale Lien from a news paper will it show me how much of a profit I will make? Does Texas have Tax sale Lien or Deed Certificate? Can anyone direct me to that link!
