I am not questioning the integrity of teachers here.
I witnessed this nonsense firsthand in a literature class after going back to college. The minorities didn't have to open a book, do homework, pass tests, or acheive a passing grade. This brings down the level of education for everyone.
What absolute rubbish. In my experience as a college teacher, minorities generally have to work twice as hard, overcome many more obstacles -many of them are first generation college students - in order to get into college in the first place. Hopwood ensured that there is no affirmative action in Texas state universities. While all generalizations are risky, minority students at UT Austin are generally smarter, more committed and hungrier for knowledge than smug, entitled white kids, many of whom would rather drink, party and watch football than actually study. There are, of course, always exceptions.

Why are you getting so angry? I guess that means the discussion is over. Thanks.

Yellow puddle...
I find it interesting that you block quoted my response but didn't even address anything I said. It wasn't an adult conversation on your part; it was a rant.

Infrastructure reduces to the philosophy of education and a choice between either an equality or quality based system. I, for one, refuse to continue living in denial.
Again, have you ever wondered why colleges have to include so many intro and remedial courses? The reason why are the equality based education systems, the political rebellion involved in grade schooling, and the way students nowadays are being graduated unprepared for college. While today's equality based system continues feigning advancement over the past, in actuality, the standard for all is being drug down into the muck.
