Those are fine colleges but as a top student, he can get full ride at better colleges like SMU and Baylor.

I'd narrow it down to Rice, UT, and Texas A & M.

But I'd have him visit all the campuses, see what he feels.

I wanted to attend Texas A & M for the Mays Business School, but my grades weren't good enough from Blinn College, and I am attending Sam Houston State University with one more semester left. I don't regret attending SHSU, and am happy I am getting the degree from there.

I don't know what the kid is interested in. But again, have him visit all the campuses, see what he feels.

Undecided major but as he loves too many subjects, probably would end up doing double or triple major. He hopes to go to graduate or professional school after undergraduate.

I think they did visit many schools. I'm not sure which ones.

Wait. A kid this “driven” has no idea what he wants to study?

Who was driving? Psycho tiger mom?

I see a crash and burn coming.

As SAT is the most reliable measure to measure academic IQ until we find a more perfect method, this list also gives an idea of how our colleges stack. Rice sits on top with an average of 1460 out of 1600.

Score of 1200 on the SAT, Texas colleges you can get into with a SAT score of 1200 on a 2400 scale

Here is last year's list.

Uh. No. It measures test taking and prep skills.
