My nephew would take fall semester at Baylor. He isn't familiar with the area. Nicer apartments are offering one year lease, no short term ones. Baylor has fantastic dorms but he doesn't want to live in dorms. What are his options? Short term lease or sublease options are mostly for summer only.

He doesn't have many options! Short term leases are hard to find and they will be expensive too. If he must do that, he should work with an apartment locator. They are free to him and can help.

Private landlords would be another option but almost no one will want to take a lease that comes up in the winter if they have another possible tenant who will take a year's lease.

Thanks. This is what it looks like. Imho, he should stay in dorms where they have single suits with private rooms and baths. I'm sure being a pricey private school, Baylor offers fancy options too. This kid is a germaphobe so doesn't like to share spaces.

LOL a germaphobe?!

A Baylor dorm for sure will be the best option! Private landlords willing to do a short lease or a student apartment that will do it will not be nearly as clean and shiny as a newer dorm!

LOL!!! Its just a vowel, quitely replace it with an o. Queen and Pippa Middleton doesn't have to know about this.

Baylor dorms must be nice like rest of the campus but their private suits probably cost serious $$$.

check out padmapper, its an online webpage that maps listings on a logical map, and you can sort by your price point or terms of lease.

It works pretty well.
