I've noticed that a lot of businesses I've seen in other parts of Texas like Jack In The Box, Aldi, Braums, etc are not in this area. I wonder why that is? Does anyone have any idea? My brother thinks we're lumped in with Arkansas market.

Maybe Texarkana is more than 300 miles from Braums home farm because they dont have other locations beyond a 300 mile radius per corporate policy.I have never been to Texarkana but idk if its within 300 miles.

Paris,Tx which is 90 miles from Texarkana has a Braums but I get what you're saying. Maybe being in the northeast corner isolates us from the rest of the state. Bright side being we're at least planning on getting Buccees.

I know a girl named Anne who lives in Texarkan’, she loves a boy in Arkansas. But when they take a ride it’s on the Texas side.

As far as Braums is concerned, I'm sure this is the reason. Not sure about a place like Jack-in-the-box though. Could be Texarkana is more aligned with the deep South fast food market than the Texas one. Deep South fast food has stuff like Krystal, Bojangles and two waffle houses within a couple of blocks of each other.

I looked on mapquest and Texarkana is just barely in the 300 mile radius cuz its at 293 miles but i guess Braums corporate could figure its close enough to the 300 mile limit but idk tho.

We don't have Krystal or Bojangles but we do have Grandy's, Chicken Express, Golden Chick, Golden Corral, Waffle House etc. I wish we had Taco Cabana, TGI Friday's among others.

I'm sure the isolation plays a role. Texarkana seems like it is mostly forgotten.

Pretty much. The area is growing although not as fast or in the ways that I'd like.
