Any teachers relocated to Texas have any experience with Texas new rule about out of state teachers? It’s called 19 TAC Chapter 152, Commissioner’s Rules Concerning Examination Requirements, §152.1001. I am a special education teacher. I relocated to Texas over the summer. I took my sped exam just so I could have my standard license in order to find a job. I was recently trying to register for the Texes Ec-6 exam when I realized so much has changed. As of May 3rd, out of state teachers could be exempt from exams. I took the Elementary Praxis and received a temporary for the Texes ec-6 and the sped ec-12. As mentioned earlier I already taken the sped one. Anyone have any luck on getting exempted from Common Core ec-6?
