About the heat - yes, it's a long, hot summer, and yes, I do get tired of it. But not NEARLY as tired of it as I get of snow and ice and long, dark, wet winters. Now to be fair, I do live in NE Texas (between Dallas and Shreveport, LA). So it's more humid and it's also greener, and we get a bit more rain I believe. We also have taller trees - and no, not all pine trees either, we have a lot of hardwoods up here and we also have some decent fall color.

OP good luck!!!!!!!! Keep us posted on everything! And welcome to Texas.

Once you've selected your property, you'll notice what's there and might need your intervention. Just pick the appropriate weapon for it and you'll be fine -- or call your hunting friends to come shoot it for you...
There will be no need for that
