I'm reading reports of possibly 2022 (although not sure the estimated time~i.e. early 2022, mid 2022, etc.) I'm in Houston and have read reports today saying that hospitalizations are down 15%.

Fellow Texans, what say you?

EDIT: let's keep it respectful, been on this board over 10 years. Not here for fights.
I would expect the mandate to end when Texas reaches herd immunity. Based on combo of vax + prior infection projections, could be somewhere between July - October.

And then I would expect to see shorter term mask mandates if Covid does become seasonal and vax/infection immunity doesn’t last very long.

Bottom line, whether someone is pro or anti mask, the mask mandate is allowing Texas to be mostly open for school and business. We are very lucky to live here right now and not in states where schools and businesses have been closed for almost a year.

And summer 2020, and early November, and New Years, and Inauguration.

The masks are permanent, they are non-removable. We have always known the mask.

I haven't worn a mask throughout the whole duration of this fake pandemic. Not once.

It stops for a person or establishment when that person or establishment stops. Otherwise the masks are permanent.
And I have walked out of businesses that are not enforcing the mandate or having their employees mask up. Freedom is great, isn’t it?

Please turn off NewsMax and whatever other conspiracy laden “news” sources you’re following. That’s a ridiculous statement. The pandemic WILL end and when it does, we will mostly be back to “normal” living - expect for probably more WFH opportunities.

Since the beginning, there was the mask. We have never not known the mask.

How did a basic public health precaution become a focus for this kind of oppositional-defiant psychological issue? I understand things like gun restrictions, or restrictions on the right to protest, but wearing a face mask to reduce the spread of a potentially deadly disease?

There are a lot of morons who don't have an elementary understanding of biology. Some are on this thread.

Um. Y'all. This is a serious question. If you're into conspiracies and the like, no need to respond.
