My AC is ready, it's been going for months, but I'm not ready, I never am. Heat index here has been around 95 I'm going to hate the weather for at least 5-6 months

Deja vu...is this the year you move to cooler North Carolina/Tennessee?

And today it's cool again! Chilly, even. That's what I love about Central Texas weather - as the old saying goes, you don't like it, wait a minute.

Many parts of the country have changing weather as does Texas, brutally humid one day and cool and dry the next. Yesterday was horrible, today is totally gorgeous and delightful which is actually quite abnormal for nearly middle May, but I'm not complaining. I may actually accomplish yard work today. I tried to do so yesterday, but I knew the humidity would "do me in." I was soaking wet in 15 minutes.

Got the windows open and the curtains are blowin' in the wind. I love the song they play mixed in with the music of the birds. It sounds almost like the sounds of an ocean with gentle waves crashing on the shoreline just 50 feet away.

55 (and sunny) is perfect weather. If it were like that 75% of the year, I'd be in seventh heaven.

Look, Texans, you don't know how well you have it. Tomorrow in northwest PA it's going to be a high of only 50 degrees. If they suddenly changed it and said it'd be 90 instead, I'd be singing the Hallelujah Chorus even though 90 is quite hot by anyone's standards. At least then I could wear a tank top and shorts, and have a fan blowing at my face while I'm inside. I'd probably do something outside, though. That sure beats what it'll be for me tomorrow... cold hands and feet again, wearing a sweatshirt and jeans, because I flat-out refuse to have my furnace running in the middle of freaking May.

By the way, my wife and I will be moving, and joining y'all, in August... hopefully. Mid-January bike ride, anyone?
