The two party system has indeed failed the hell out of us.

It's pretty clear from your posts that you don't care much about reality but much more about posturing - but here's a pretty decent and short read about power outages just in case I'm wrong.

We could yield to your thinking and become the next CA. on the power front.

CA....
1. Simply cannot produce enough power for internal use.
2. Has up and downtime metrics close to Texas........in some areas much worse.
2. Retail electricity is roughly 2x more expensive.

Sure. Let's do that.

What do you expect when you have decades worth of "Pro-Growth" initiatives to attract people and businesses but don't build, or invest in, the infrastructure to keep up with your policies?

Sprawl...energy grid crashes...flooding due to not planning...I can go on and on

Yep..Texas politics is a cash grab today...ignore the future

I’m flattered, thank you!

What’s Texas’ (along with Florida) obsession of California? The logic is almost “because California is awful, so it’s OK for me to be awful too. In fact look at me I’m only the second most awful.”

Inferior complex much?

We need total reform in our current 2 party duopoly.
It's not just the duopoly. It's the profit first system. That's why our infrastructure is falling apart nationwide. If the people in control can't finaggle a way to profit, the project won't be green lit.

California is great. However, just like Texas it has many problems and pain points.

I'm subject to all kinds of issues............an inferiority complex is not one of them.

Profit is why ~105 gigawatts of PV-solar power is on the table in Texas over the next several years. For sure we'll be lucky to see 1/3 of that come to fruition over the next 5 years but the point stands.

__________

Profit is turning TX' electrical power generation green faster than would otherwise be possible.

I totally agree with you on California having many problems. (Californian here)

I like Texas, and I love Houston. My husband and I were always very at ease in places like Texas Roadhouse, even though we are very aware most people there probably are completely on the other end of voting spectrum, most of them are sweet, earthy people who are just living their lives.

I just happened to think people like Abbott and Ted Cruz are vile. (People are innocent, politicians should know better. )

They just flipped the power grid level to high yellow. Black outs will begin soon, turn off everything except air and fridge.

Quit plugging in your Teslas, and most of all quit moving here..
And shut down those power-sucking Bitcoin mines.
