I honestly can't remember the last time I read something so hallucinatory and delusional.

YOU DONT CONVERT PEOPLE INTO BEING GAY. THIS ISNT LIKE RELIGION. Some people are just gay and most people know it at a young age.

There is definitely an increasing trend:
https://news.gallup.com/poll/389792/...-ticks-up.aspx
But I don't think it's simply just because people are less scared to reveal and more people are coming out of closet. First of all, I don't see any restrictions in last 10 years. But the numbers are increasing.
Of course propaganda plays it's role here.

The percentage of U.S. adults who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or something other than heterosexual has increased to a new high of 7.1%, which is double the percentage from 2012, when Gallup first measured it.

So if some are just gay as you say then the others made the choice to be gay? And if thats so just how many are just gay 20% 10% 5%?

And if the others are not just gay then when did they become gay and what influenced them? Maybe something they learned in grade school? Please enlighten us to how one becomes gay and what was the reason they "became gay".

I’m not AASB, pardon me to interject myself here.

I used to work in fashion/interior design so naturally I was surrounded by many gay men. Since sexuality is fluid (Kinsey Scale Test) and comes in full spectrum, I met gay men who used to be married to a woman with kids, happily married no less. Yet one day they met someone, a man, the attraction both physically and emotionally was so compatible they realized they were gay. (Some might argue in this case he was bisexual but the man identified himself as gay.)

Or some people knew they were gay early on, but never had the courage to pursue the lifestyle due to family and religious beliefs, eventually came to terms of their own sexuality (or when the aging parents passed away they finally felt okay to come out.) to identify as gay/lesbian.

In fact we have a dear friend who just finally came to term that he’s more attracted to men than to women, at 50. He’s a very low-key guy, never walked around advertising his own private life and he’s hard to read.

My husband’s cousin just finally felt free to live a more truthful life, after both of her parents passed away. She’s almost 60.

The reversal can happen to younger people too, for example, in the same-sex junior/high schools.

When I was in all-girls’ high school, it was common for girls to claim so and so had a crush on so and so. I had one very tall, somewhat tomboyish very popular older girl “liking” me so I thought I had a crush on her too (or I just liked the attention.)-turned out all of us were straight as arrow, but it’s not unheard of young people “experimented” and realized it was just a phase.

Are some of kids who go by “they” pronoun going through phases and “attention seeking”? Possibly. But as long as they do that on their own accord they are hurting no one. They might find it silly in a few years, but I do believe many, many people were born gay, knew they were gay very early on, and remain gay for the rest of their lives.

The gay population is increasing because the dialogue has been more open and accepting, the society generally is more “tolerant” and inclusive with LGBTQ people. There are still violence and bullying behavior committed to them, many of them still feel ostracized and marginalized even with the increasing acceptance.

You can be against gay lifestyle due to your religious beliefs and opinions, but since the very belief of “pro-life” is celebrated in the said religion, shouldn’t LGBTQ people’s life/human right matter, too?!

You made very good points up until this, assuming the two topics were mutually exclusive.

Did they find a way to reproduce?
Never mind, most gay people come from straight parents

Really? Even you can do better than this. Make up something else and try again.

That theory basically says except for the few outliers on the ends, almost everyone is bi. And that gives the "it's a choice, it's a transmissible disease, they're going to convert my kids!" crowd A LOT of ammo. Sorry but I don't buy that theory.

BTW did this Florida law actually do anything? Are they really teaching 2nd graders these pornographic things in other schools around the nation? Or is this just another Republican solution in search of a problem? Maybe I am out of touch but I'm just not seeing it. I have kids in schools and nobody around here seems to be concerned about this.

Now that I think of it, there has always been a pretty big porn industry in Florida, maybe this Latin tranny stuff is finally getting to their heads.

Smoke and mirrors
That's not the issue, the issue is ... whether or not they should have the same rights from our government as everybody else.

Spot on observation.
