I haven’t said it should be easily accessible
I’m saying that the Texas government is playing nanny state
The parents should make that decision

The decision to do what exactly? Allow their own kids to buy cigs or view porn without ID (or not)?

Well I guess it was a nanny state before the internet when you had to be an adult to get porn at a xxx store. This is just the law catching up to technology. Parents can still allow their kids to view porn, if they choose.

“Nanny state” used to be what right wing politicians hammered on as a bad thing, while they slowly turned Texas into a nanny state and reduced personal freedom. We are now where personal freedom goes to die. However economic freedom is pretty high and that counts for a lot. So straighten up and get to work, boy. That VPN bill is due Friday!!

I just can't get my head around how so many of you that feel that porn should be so easily available to everyone, including children.

Pay sites have figured out how to restrict access to porn - they require a login ID, password, and a credit card. Why can't free sites like PHUB do the same thing? Even if they just put a temporary or small charge on the credit card, that will prevent 99% of kids from accessing the site. Another poster said it's not technically possible to prevent minors from accessing porn online, but obviously the pay sites have figured it out.
When I was buying Penthouse and such back in the old days as a minor, not once did I have to prove how old I was. The seller of the magazines was happy to take my money. So, no, ID was not required.

The Supreme Court upheld the pornhub ban or part of the pornhub ban. This is a violation of free speech. It should be up to the parents.I dont want religion influencing laws in this country.

This supreme Court will go down as being one of the more activist courts in history. They are creating law instead of interpreting it.
Legislating is a job for Congress, not the Courts.

But I guess Congress is broken right now so they can't really govern.

I miss the latter part of the last century when the branches of government could actually work.
When Texas wasn't all over party rule.
When there was less divide.
